In 2018 Greg made the decision to go out on his own and start Straub Land Ltd. Greg began his career in 2007 acquiring mineral leases for Oil and Gas companies as well as the Potash Industry for numerous clients across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Greg quickly took on project management roles reporting directly to clients on behalf of his employer creating relationships of hard work and trust along the way. Greg’s drive for knowledge and a well-rounded career drew him into surface land projects a few years later acquiring leases, easements, purchase and sale agreements, access agreements, temporary work spaces, partial takings and settling damages. Greg went quickly from the role of Project Manager to Manager before going out on his own. Greg is and active member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), and the former President and Education Chair of Saskatchewan’s local Chapter. Greg has obtained his Senior Right of Way Professional (SR/WA) designation through the IRWA and completed all the practical requirements to write for his PMP in the future.

Matt has worked for an abundance of clients negotiating and obtaining mineral leases, surface leases, access agreements, easements, purchase and sale agreements, partial takings, temporary works space agreements and settling damages. Matt is a critical thinker working with owners and clients to negotiate agreements that will create lasting relationship for owners and clients alike. Matt is an active member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), has obtained his Right of Way Professional (RWP) designation working towards his Senior Right of Way Professional (SR/WA) designation.

AJ joined Straub Land in October, 2022 bringing with him years of experience and a diverse background in sales, contract negotiation, customer relations and conflict resolution making him a valuable team member. AJ had quickly moved into a variety of projects ranging from easement acquisition, damages settlements and mineral acquisition.

Sean joined Straub Land in September 2021 after working with Greg through a previous employer. During this time, he worked for Straub Land while pursuing his post-secondary education. In 2024 Sean graduated from the University of Regina obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management. During his time at university, he learned an assortment of analytical, negotiation, financial, and communication skills which help him create and implement solutions to problems. Sean’s previous time working at a crown corporation in the land department exposed him to various areas within the industry including public awareness, subdivisions, and easement agreements. Additionally, his experience gained from working in customer service is an asset when it comes to negotiations and creating favorable outcomes for all parties involved. Sean is an active member of the IRWA and is continuing his land education by taking courses to obtain his RWA designation.

She brings extensive industry expertise, including acquisition, easement agreements, temporary workspace agreements, surface leases, subdivisions, purchase agreements, treaty land entitlement, and public awareness. Additionally, she is highly proficient in ISC registrations, as well as title and plan searches. Marina’s effectiveness, efficiency, and exceptional problem-solving skills make her a valuable asset to our team.
